Monthly Blog - March 2019

It has been very busy indeed. We first started the month with a bee trade show where it is a beekeepers dream. We took the trailer and the van up to Stoneleigh park and bought all of the equipment that is needed for the 2019 season.

As the daffodils came out throughout the great Welsh countryside, the winds also came out battering our hives. While it was nice and cool it was just right to get some housekeeping done around our apiarys. (photo here)

As the month progressed the days warmed up which meant some painting was to be done on the hives. I also featured in the WCVA being the change exhibition with photographer Warren Orchard who is a Bafta award-winning photographer. On the final day of the month, we took the bees to the oilseed rape where hopefully we will get some beautiful Welsh honey.

Its been a hard month and its come to an end which means we are one step closer to the beekeeping season.
Thanks for reading.
